FAQ

Please contact the studio if you wish to know more or your questions have not been answered.

Are you open on weekends?

We are open 7 days a week including most public holidays. Please check our insert link for opening hours.

Do I need to make an appointment?

We welcome walk ins and appointments, but to secure a time we strongly suggest an appointment.

Are gift vouchers available?

Yes gift vouchers are available, to any denomination and last for 6mths.

Do you offer piercing specials?

We do! Every Monday is “Mad Monday”, which means we offer 20% off all piercings on a Monday. This excludes jewellery prices and you must mention the “Mad Monday” sale. All piercing prices are based on single piercings; if you choose to have two of the same piercing in the one sitting we offer the second one half price. We also offer regular specials via our Facebook page, so we suggest you follow us for more ways to save!

What payment options do you have?

Cash, Eftpos, Visa, Mastercard and Bankcard

Do you pierce with the “gun”?

We DO NOT use piercing guns as they cannot be adequately sterilised and consider them dangerous. Do not let anyone near any part of your anatomy with a piercing gun. We do not ethically support this practice and feel very strong against this type of “piercing”.

Will you pierce my baby’s ears?

No. We believe to be unethical and abusive to pierce a child’s ears at any age under 5. Even between the age of 5-10 we will conduct a mock piercing with the child to make sure they are ok with the procedure and understand what is about to happen to them. We will not hold the child down or force them into the procedure, and this goes for the parents in the studio also. We have the right to refuse any kind of procedure that the child is not consenting too or not psychologically or anatomically ready for.

Is there anything I can do to prepare for my appointment?

For genital piercings we request that the client has showered and cleaned themselves prior to the piercing. Poor hygiene or infections/disease of the area will be turned away. For all other piercings we suggest you have slept well the night prior, eaten in the last 4 hours prior to the procedure and had nothing alcoholic or substance based for the last 12 hours prior to the procedure.

How old do I have to be to be pierced?

The studio rules include:

If receiving a genital piercing or nipple piercing, you must bring valid photo ID to prove that you are 18 years of age. It is illegal and unethical to pierce anyone under the age of 18 with both male and female genitals and nipples. Feel free to read the current legislation if you have any problems with our stance on this matter. https://www.legislation.qld.gov.au/LEGISLTN/CURRENT/P/PubHelCPA03.pdf.
For anyone under the age of 16 we require your parents/guardians to accompany you with an ID showing matching last names.
If you are over 18 all we require is a valid photo ID.

Am I able to get pierced while pregnant?

We suggest you read about the information in regards to this on the website www.safepiercing.org. We do advise against it however, as the risk to you and the child is too high.

Can I bring my child with me while I get a piercing?

We are a family friendly studio but do require the child to be able to follow basic safety rules (they cannot be running around the studio or screaming etc). If the child is unruly then the studio reserves the right to ask you to please leave in fear of safety for themselves and the clients.

I was pierced at another shop and now I am having problems, are you able to help me?

We welcome anyone having troubles with piercings, no matter where you had them performed. We also welcome jewellery changing and stretching also. We will help you as much as we can!

Can I bring my own jewellery to be pierced with?

If you purchased the jewellery from our store then that will be no problem. Bring it in an hour before your appointment so we can sterilise it prior to piercing with it. If you have purchased it from another store then you need to bring it in for us to certify whether it is real. If we can not determine its origins and what it is made of we will not pierce with it. This includes jewellery from jewellers and other piercing studios.
